Firstly, if you have any queries or questions that need clarifying, then please do not hesitate to ask.
We are following Government guidance updating risk assessments to include Covid-19 risks and are making sure that we are up to date with all policies as soon as they are announced. We will keep current and future guests informed to provide as much information as possible.
Check in time will be from 15:30 and check out by 10:30am.
We will send an email 24 hours in advance to ensure that you are feeling well and you can visit the hotel if for any reason you cannot travel we can offer to move your dates or hold your deposit for up to one year.
Following government guidelines, we are unable to give you the printed registration form so all we require is your car registration on arrival or please email in before you arrive.
We have updated our terms and conditions to reflect the challenges of planning ahead. In the event of future lock downs, we will be happy for guests to postpone any reservation for any time up to a year from the original arrival date, free of charge. If this is not possible, we will be happy to issue a refund as per Government guidance.
Keeping hands clean is the best way of preventing the spread of disease. We have installed sanitisers throughout the hotel, so everyone makes sure all hands are completely clean at any time without the need to touch anything.
Also, our staff teams have their own personal hand sanitisers avoiding sharing.
We have also initiated a one-way system to avoid pinch points; there will be appropriate signage throughout.
To combat the spread of Covid-19, we have updated our already-rigorous housekeeping protocols to include increased levels of sanitation and hygiene in all changeovers and daily room cleans. We are leaving no stone unturned, including kettles, remote controls, door handles, curtains, and light switches, as well as the usual cleaning of bathrooms, carpets, and sterilisation of bedding. We can offer you a spray sanitiser on arrival to take to your room.
We have adjusted our laundry processes including sterilising containers in which used linen is transported. We have removed items such as cushions, hotel literature from the bedrooms but if you wish to have an item put back in the room please advise and we will sanitise the item and put it back in your room.
Housekeeping staff will be issued with appropriate PPE whilst cleaning rooms.
If you would prefer us not to come into your room for a daily clean whilst you are with us, please let us know on arrival.
We have instigated thorough Covid-19 protocols through our staff areas including strict social distancing, staggered arrivals, and cleaning regimes. All deliveries are sterilised before entering the building and social distancing is in place.
Food is overseen by our senior chefs, who have Level 3 Food Safety certificates, all other food handlers are trained to level 2 Food safety standard, and all will be wearing relevant PPE.
As always, a strict hand-washing regime is in place throughout all food preparation areas.
Our Front of House team have, of course, had to adapt to serving at our usual high standards without infringing on social distancing requirements.
Please download our App to peruse our menus and order all drink & food remotely.
We have also adapted our room layout to adhere to social distancing, so that we can serve drinks and food without the need for close contact with guests.
The buffet table will be closed, and all service will be at your table.
All staff have a Covid-19 in Hospitality certificate and will follow all guidelines.
We have a duty of care for both our guests and staff, so we will be asking anyone who develops symptoms of Covid-19 to leave the premises, if practical, as soon as possible, and not to isolate at The Cliftonville Hotel. If you are unable to travel home you will incur all costs of the two-week isolation period at The Cliftonville including all room service.
We insist that we must be told if you are experiencing a new continuous cough, a temperature, loss of taste or smell or a sore throat. We will not be taking the temperature of guests on arrival, and we are not requesting guests to wear masks in public areas, but we do ask that everyone acts in a responsible manner with a “safety-first” attitude. If in doubt, please do not travel to Cromer.
