The best hotel is the majestic Edwardian Cliftonville Hotel, which has retained its stained-glass windows, a ballroom with a sprung floor and a dining room with a gallery. The service is extremely attentive and Bolton’s Bistro serves the most delicious food, including Cromer crab and lobster. A few nights here with a tasty cooked breakfast is extremely relaxing.”

My partner and I enjoyed the stay at the Cliftonville Hotel very much. The room was lovely, clean and with a great sea view. The food in the lounge/bar was very nice, especially the presentation of it on your plate and reasonable priced as well. The Bistro restaurant was fantastic, both of us sampling ‘Cromer Thermidor’. Staff were very helpful and even when busy, always accommodating. I felt actually as if I was staying in a ‘Poirot’ episode or an Agatha Chrisitie story. Again, great hotel and we have recommended it to our family and friends, definately coming back!”

Your staff were, without exception, superb. They were extremely friendly and helpful but at the same time very professional. This applies to all of them – be it front of house, the waiting staff, cooks or cleaners. They made a fairly traumatic experience more than just bearable – it became enjoyable.”
